Shepherds Bush District

W12
Nearest Tube: Shepherd's Bush

Shepherd's Bush is the area of west London that lies between Notting Hill and Acton.

Until the 19th century the district was predominantly rural, but as with so many areas of London, the coming of the railways soon led to extensive residential development.

Today the area is still mainly residential, but it is also home to the tourist attractions of BBC Television Centre, The Bush Theatre and Shepherd's Bush Market.
