Worcester, located in Worcestershire, is a historic cathedral city situated on the river Severn. It is near the Welsh border. The settlement dates back to Roman days. Worcester is perhaps most well known for the sauce of the same name. The sauce has been produced within the Heinz factory in the same city since 1897. Other attractions to see include Worcester Cathedral, Royal Worcester Visitor Centre, Elgar's Birthplace Museum, the Tudor House Heritage Centre, Cripplegate Park and Guild Hall. There are also plenty of dining and entertainment options in Worcester as well that will appeal to visitors.
