Disabled guests can be easily accommodated as four of the bedrooms are on ground floor level. The Cottage Restaurant The restaurant is enchanting with a wealth of original character and olde world charm. The low ceilings with exposed beams and open fireplaces generate a unique cosy and intimate atmosphere. The Candlesticks is one of Ringwoods oldest buildings and enjoys an enviable reputation for its cuisine.The extensive menu is interesting and varied with predominately English and French dishes, and many of the recipes are exclusive to the Candlesticks. Dining in the Candlesticks Restaurant is a very relaxing and special experience, but surprisingly easy on the pocket as the aim of the proprietors, is to provide exceptional value for money, without compromising on quality, quantity, or choice of menu. |
The Café Bar A recent addition, the conservatory lounge and café bar offers an alternative choice of dishes from the restaurant menu and is ideally suited for lunchtime or early evening snacks and lite bites, its bright and airy environment with direct access to the sun trap patio is particularly popular on sunny days and evenings. The Candlesticks en-suite lodge is well placed for tourists, business travellers and those requiring a relaxing 2 or 3 days break at sensible prices. | Additional Facilities The Pergola This was built to provide an additional improvement for our many disabled visitors and guests. Since its inception, it has developed into a unique "Al Fresco" dining area as an alternative to the Restaurant and Bar. It has won awards for its charm and ambient setting. Disability Facilities As a result of the significant improvements we have made, We now have the only "fully assisted wheelchair access" facilities Hotel in the New Forest and Hampshire. |
| Location The Candlesticks en-suite lodge and 15th century cottage restaurant is conveniently placed on the edge of the New Forest, Bournemouth, Christchurch, Salisbury and Southampton, also the local coastline and surrounding areas. Fishing, Golf, Riding, Forest walks are all nearby. The nearest main road M27/A31 is a few minutes drive away, providing a fast link to London (1½ hours) and the Midlands. Dover and the Channel Tunnel is approximately 3 hours drive. |
How to find us From the A31 (Ringwood fly-over) proceed to the large roundabout. Straight ahead onto the B3347 road to Christchurch. Pass through 2 sets of pedestrian traffic lights to he mini roundabout at Greyfriars. Turn left onto the Christchurch Road travel for approximately ¼ mile, just past the Castleman Way roundabout, we are on the right. |
