Originally standing in 55 acres of beautiful orchards and woodland. ![]() In the hall at Wickham Place you will find a photograph of the house taken in 1932. Then the house stood in its own grounds at the top of a private tree-lined drive leading off College Lane. ![]() Originally Wickham Place had 13 fireplaces in the house of which 2 have been restored. Arrival/Departure Guests are welcome at any time, however if you arrive before noon, the room may not be ready. On departure it would be appreciated if the room was vacant by 11 am to enable it to be services. Where to Eat In the centre of the village (about 10 minute's walk) there are 2 pubs that serve "Pub Grub", 2 restaurants (which are highly recommended). There is an Indian, a Chinese restaurant and also a wine bar (Bistro). ![]() Outside the village and only a short drive are many more places to eat including The Pilgrims Goose at Hassocks.
