Luton is a bustling town located on the northern outskirts of London and has always enjoyed a reputation as an industrious, prosperous town, and one that punches above its weight in terms of the variety and range of different activities on offer. One of the highlights of the Luton Museum and Art Gallery is their extensive and comprehensive collection of hats, with the collection housing no less than 600 different types of hats in total as well as a extensive collection of historical jewellery including Roman, Saxon and more modern items.
Given the strong influence the Romans had on the development and subsequent commercialisation of the town, there is also a number of exhibitions contained within the Luton Museum and Art Gallery which are specifically dedicated to the Roman era.
