The Victoria House is situated in a picturesque setting in the town of Menai Bridge on the Isle of Anglesey in North Wales, overlooking the Menai Straits with panoramic views of the Snowdonia mountain range, and three miles from the University City of Bangor.

Quality accommodation and excellent cuisine are the hallmarks of this family run establishment.

The hotel has 17 en suite bedrooms, some of which overlook the Menai Straits, and all have TV, tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer and ironing-board.

Lunch and dinner are available every day in our restaurant, which opens 12 noon - 2.30 (3pm Sundays) and 6pm - 9pm. Real ales are available in our 2 bars, one of which has pool, Sky TV and juke-box.

Other facilities include a large car-park, children's play area and a beer garden overlooking the Menai Straits.

Disabled people are always welcome at the Victoria, and access to the building is good. People with severe mobility problems are advised to telephone to discuss their individual requirements. One ground-floor bedroom is designed specifically for the disabled. Please note that most of our bedrooms are not at ground level, and, as there is no lift, access to them involves climbing stairs.

Nearby facilities include over a dozen golf courses within a half-hour's drive, sailing/fishing, and leisure complexes at Bangor, Llangefni and Beaumaris.
Bangor has good shopping facilities, and the beaches of Anglesey, mountains of Snowdonia and rural delights of North Wales are all within easy ready of the Victoria, either by public transport or car. The port of Holyhead with ferries to Ireland is about twenty miles distant.

How to Find Us

By Rail

Nearest mainline station: BANGOR (Gwynedd), approx 2 miles distant. Taxi rank at station and frequent bus service to Menai Bridge.

By Road:

Westward along A55 North Wales Coast Expressway, cross the Menai Strait via BRITANNIA BRIDGE and take 1st exit on Anglesey side.
(JUNCTION 8A) Take right hand lane on sliproad and turn right at junction for Menai Bridge Town. Follow road for approx. 1 mile until you come to a roundabout. Take 3rd exit passing Shell garage on left. At 2nd roundabout take 1st exit (located by Suspension Bridge). The Victoria Hotel is about 100 meters on the right, on Telford Road.
If travelling from the city Bangor itself , cross to Anglesey on the Menai Suspension Bridge, and take the 2nd exit off the roundabout on the Anglesey side. The Victoria is about 100m on the right.

Visitors approaching from Holyhead should follow the eastbound A55 and turn off at the junction signposted for Menai Bridge. (JUNCTION 8). At 'T' junction turn left, follow road until you reach a roundabout, take 3rd exit for Menai Bridge Town, follow road downhill to second roundabout take 2nd exit passing Shell garage on left. At 3rd roundabout take 1st exit (located by Suspension Bridge). The Victoria Hotel is about 100 metres on the right.
