A Warm welcome awaits you at Venn Farm, peacefully situated amidst the rolling countryside of the South Hams. We are a family-run working farm offering friendly hospitality, comfortable accommodation and plentiful food. Children are encouraged to take an active interest in the day-to-day running of the farm and dogs are welcome by arrangement. Although the farm is in a secluded spot, we are just two miles from the A38 and centrally situated for exploring Dartmoor and the delightful sandy beaches of the South Devon coast. The historic cities of Exeter and Plymouth are both about a half-hour's drive away. The nearby village of Ugborough is built around anopen square with a 14th century church and two busy pubs. Facilities for pony trekking and a golf course are on our doorstep as is the South Dartmoor Leisure Centre at Ivybridge with free-form indoor and outdoor swimming pools with water slides and sun bathing terraces. In the farmhouse we have two large en-suite family bedrooms, each with a double bed and bunks. Both have lovely views and tea/coffee making facilities. |
| The Garden Cottage The Garden Cottage, next to the farm is a recent conversion providing ideal family accommodation with two delightfully furnished twin bedrooms and a separate shower, wash-basin and toilet and also a sitting room (with TV) enabling guests to enjoy the wildlife - mallards, moorhens a plenty and of course fishing available. A wild flower garden bounded by a small stream surrounds the cottage and there is an old gypsy caravan and private patio with picnic table. Please note that we have 3 furher cottages for self catering, all with ground floor bedrooms and disabled access.
 Back in the farmhouse there are two guest sitting rooms with colour televisions. Traditional and plentiful meals are served in the guests' dining room, Breakfasts are substantial and a popular feature of our evening meals is the "carve your own roast" using local produce. |
| How to Find us From Exeter travelling south along the A38. Leave at the Yealmpton, Modbury, Ermington junction and keep to the left. Take the second turning on the right and go straight through at the cross roads. Turn left and then left again at the stone pillars. We are the first on the left through the laurel archway. |
