Leominster is the Ancient Market Town of 'Llanlieli' (the town in the marshes) originating from 660AD. The Talbot Hotel, an old Coaching Inn, parts of which date from the 15thC, is to be found at the centre of the town and stands on the 'Iron Cross' which was a focal point for hangings, the most notable being that of Roger Cadwallader, a Roman Catholic Priest, hanged in 1610. |
| Leominster is at the crossroads where the A49 Marches road traverses the main A44 Cotswold road to Mid-Wales. Timber buildings, narrow streets, the Priory Church dating from 1123 and Grange Court, originally built in 1633 as the Butter Market, are buildings of historical importance and tourist interest. The original town Ducking Stool, last used in 1809 can be seen in The Priory Church. |

Table d'hôte and a la carte menus are presented to diners for lunch and dinner which is served in The Berrington Restaurant. The restaurant has a 'Non Smoking Policy' throughout. An area of the restaurant is allocated for Bar Meals. |

| Leominster is to be found in a beautiful part of England surrounded by pastures green. Nearby are Black and White Villages, which form a designated Tourist Trail. The town is often described by some visitors as being in a 'Time Warp'. Much of the town centre still retains its medieval and Tudor charm, narrow street and half-timbered houses. Drapers Lane and High Street are prime examples of Leominster's past. The town now boasts a wealth of Antique shops. |
