Welcome to Red Mullions - a family run Guest House

Oxford is probably the most famous and picturesque of the old university towns, having attracted acclaim since Medieval times. Red Mullions is situated within easy walking distance of the college's dreaming spires; alternatively buses leave every ten minutes from the doorstep. Since it is difficult to take a car through the old and narrow streets (and almost impossible to park when you get there) we have provided a large car park in which your own vehicle can be left during your excursions into town.

Just down the road from us, under Magdalen Bridge, you can hire a punt for a lazy day on the river, or you can see the sights from one of the open-topped double decker buses. You have your own key and are therefore free to return at any time of the day or night; so as buses run late and the taxis later, there is no reason why you should not sample the night life or enjoy a night time stroll through the cobbled back streets, admiring the warm glow of the Cotswold Stone under the pale moonlight. Oxford never really sleeps, and there is always something happening just around the corner. Situated as we are on the London Road with easy access to the M40 there is no reason why you cannot use Red Mullions as your base for expeditions to the Cotswolds, Chilterns, trips to London or even farther afield. You can book tours taking in Winston Churchill's Blenheim, Shakespeare's Stratford-on-Avon and the beautiful University town of Warwick where you can also visit the best kept castle in England. In your rooms we have not stinted to provide every comfort. Each room has its own telephone for incoming calls, free wi-fi access and a LCD screen with integral DVD and freeview facilities increasing the variety of choices available for you during your stay.In addition, all bedrooms have their own en-suite bathrooms with toilet and either a bath or shower. Also all rooms have there own hair dryer. For those who might have difficulty with stairs, there are ground floor rooms with their own shower and toilet. In the morning we provide you with a choice of a full English breakfast, cereals, fresh fruit and yoghurts to set you up for each day's experience. If you have any special dietary requests please inform us at your time of booking and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
