Prestbury House Hotel is a quality Cotswold country house hotel situated in secluded grounds on the doorstep of Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.  The hotel is an ideal venue for accommodation, wedding receptions, Cotswold breaks, conferences, company corporate hospitality, special events and special celebrations. The phrase English Country House Hotel, with its attendant imagery of warmth, comfort and history could easily have been coined just for Prestbury House, so accurately does it conjure up the higgledy-piggledy charm, characterful rooms and friendly welcome awaiting guests. | ROOMS One of the real joys of staying in a privately-owned hotel, particularly one dating back to the early 1600s is the individuality family ownership brings - from the flowers in the entrance hall to the decor in each bedroom. WHILE our fourteen double/twin en-suite bedrooms all share modern comforts such as a hairdryer, satellite TV, radio, ironing facility and tea & coffee making, they each exude a traditional and distinctive charm.
SO, depending on your room, either premiere or standard, you might encounter a four poster, antique furnishings, beams, a garden view - the list goes on. EACH one is as different and as personal as the rooms in a family home, which is exactly what Prestbury House remains.(All of our bedrooms are en-suite with the exception of one single, which has a private bathroom. The bedrooms are categorised between Premiere Bedrooms and Standard Bedrooms. All bedrooms are individually furnished). Our ground floor and standard rooms are in the Coach House, which can be seen as a separate building adjacent to the main house on the ariel photograph. | RESTAURANT The Hotel operates as a superior accommodation provider with outstanding breakfasts. The restaurant is only open for special pre-booked functions and events such as private dinner parties, conferences, training courses, anniversaries and wedding receptions.  Cheltenham is full of exciting places to eat, all conveniently close to Prestbury House as well as superb pubs with restaurants actually in Prestbury village. Many of these we have special booking arrangements with. |
| BUSINESS One of Prestbury House Hotel's specialisations is the person travelling on business using the Hotels facilities for business such as conferences. Equipped with up to date facilities including Wi-Fi prestbury House has unique rooms such as the Georgian Room and Polo Room (Board Room) for all your conference and meeting needs.  Special consideration has been given for solo female guests by way of security and other essentials.Since 1990 the Prestbury House Management Training Centre (www.prestburytraining.co.uk) has also occupied the same site. Although an entirely separate company, their close existence maintains a very high standard quality of facilities and trained staff to ensure business users have their requirements met. Prestbury House has full helicopter landing facilities. |
| SPECIAL FUNCTIONS THE Georgian Room is used for larger functions (up to 60 diners) and has a different character with its lofty ceiling, chandeliers, oil paintings of famous race horses and an Adam fireplace. WHATEVER the occasion, the setting for your meal is one of the most important ingredients and snuggled into the armchairs of the hotel's welcoming bar with an aperitif in hand is the perfect starter. ALTERNATIVELY smaller private dinners or celebrations, a particular speciality of ours, may be held in the intimate surroundings of the Oak room.
