| Lesley and John Honnor own this delightful house, signed offthe A17, in Saracens Head, a small village in the heart of theLincolnshire Fens, 2 miles N.W. of Holbeach. |

| The existing building dates from about 1730 and retains much originalcharacter. But the site is even older and once houseda Cistercian grange, an outpost of Pipwell abbey whose monks reclaimed landfrom the sea in the 13th century. |

| In April there is a sea of yellow with acre upon acre ofdaffodils. the peace, the sea marshes and the solitude arehere all year round. Come and ride the bikes, watch the birds and followthe miniature railway around the large gardens. |

| Nearby are the market towns of Spalding and Wisbech and theports of Boston and Kings Lynn, each with itıs own character.a little further afield are the cathedral cities of Ely, Lincoln andPeterborough and the splendours of Stamford andBurghley house. |

| Lesley provides bed and breakfast accommodation in an attractive countryhouse lovingly decorated in soft creams, blues and greens; each room withit's own character instantly inviting and relaxing. |

| Guests are greeted with tea and home-made cakes in a thoroughlycomfortable sitting room with masses of books and magazines anda log fire in winter. Breakfast, which includes new laid eggs,home-made preserves and fruit compotes is enjoyed around a large convivialtable. |

| Four exceptionally pretty bedrooms are carefully thought out with supercomfortable bedding, country furniture and lots of extras. |

| There are extensive gardens and a conservatory where guestsare welcome to sit and relax. Ample off street parking and a cyclelock-up are provided and bikes are available free of charge forguests use on the quiet, flat lanes. There is a varied selection of local pubs and restaurants forevening meals and Lesley will be pleased to advise you. |
