Situated in the unspoilt Western Lake District, the Old Ginn House Inn has been successfully converted from a 17th century farm into a charming hostelry full of character and modern facilities, built around an appealing courtyard.

Family owned, the Old Ginn House provides an attractive, comfortable and convenient base both for those visiting the area on business and for those looking for overnight, week-end break or holiday accommodation in order to explore the Western Lake District and the Solway coast.

With quality en-suite accommodation and excellent food served at breakfast, lunchtimes and in the evening in the Inn's atmospheric 'Mediterranean style' dining areas, the Old Ginn House aims to ensure you have a most relaxing and enjoyable stay.

BAR & LOUNGE

The main feature bar is the Ginn Room itself after which the Inn has been named. Part of the original farm, this unique rounded room offers an attractive seating area and a wealth of hospitality plus a well stocked bar with a good choice of beers, wines, spirits, liqueurs and soft drinks.

There is a cosy lounge adjacent to the bar with its comfy sofas and chairs, books and magazines - a great place to relax and unwind after a busy day, whether climbing the Lake District Fells, fishing, wind surfing on the Solway or working hard in the office.

RESTAURANT

The Inn's dining areas exude a warm Mediterranean glow - butter yellow walls with a terracotta glaze, bright check curtains, wooden fireplaces and panelling, and rich terracotta tiles throughout. On warmer days and nights, the Old Ginn House's attractive courtyard offers a wonderful 'al fresco' area to enjoy a drink.

Meals served at the Old Ginn House include a hearty English or continental Breakfast. At lunchtime and in the evening, there's an extensive menu that includes traditional home-cooked fare as well as more varied cosmopolitan dishes and a wide range of desserts and puddings. Children are most welcome and the Inn has an extensive children's menu.

Please inform us of any special dietary requirements and we shall endeavour to satisfy these. The Inn's enthusiastic chefs are prepared to cater for any special request if given 24 hours notice.

Functions, parties, informal weddings, christenings and funeral teas are catered for and menus can be tailor made to suit your requirements and budget. For further information please contact us and we will be happy to discuss your requirements.
