Oakfield Cottage is a Victorian red brick house recently extended to include 2 double bedrooms both en-suite. The rooms are tastefully decorated each with extensive views over farmland and forest.
Set in an acre of mature gardens with specialist rhododendrons, camellias, azaleas and many unusual trees and shrubs. ![]() Breakfast is normally served in a large conservatory overlooking the garden and woodlands beyond. There is abundant bird life and the occasional passing deer. A large pond encourages other wild life. Binoculars are always available. |

Situated in a quiet leafy lane we are ideally placed only minutes from the A/M 23 with Gatwick Airport 10 miles away. Brighton to the south is worth a visit with the Royal Pavilion home of the Prince Regent a must. In the immediate vicinity we are lucky to have many National Trust propertiese.g. Nymans, Wakehurst Place and Sheffield Park, whose neighbours are the Bluebell Railway for the Steam Enthusiasts.![]() Staplefield is a lovely spot with the village green as it's centre with pubs at either end of a cricket square. What could be better on a sunny Sunday afternoon to relax and watch cricket with a pint of Sussex ale in your hand. Both pubs serve excellent food at good prices. |
| How to find us From the South: On the A23 heading towards Gatwick/London. 1.5 miles south of Handcross leave the A23 approximately 0.5 miles after Handcross Nurseries. Sign-posted Slaugham/Staplefield. Turn right under the A23 fly over. Keep on this road until the village green at Staplefield with the Victory Public House onyour right. At the crossroads continue straight over (Brantridge Lane). Oakfield Cottage is 1.5 miles up on your left. From the North: Leave the M23 at junction 10A. Turn left onto the Balcombe Road (B2036). Continue for approximately 2 miles passing "The Cowdray Arms" (on your left) turn right in 200 yards onto the B2110 (Sign-posted Handcross). In approximately 2 miles turn left into Brantridge Lane (Sign-posted Staplefield). Oakfield Cottage is 1 mile down on your right. |
