Oakfield Cottage is our family home built in 1904 and extended to include 2 additional tastefully decorated en suite double bedrooms with views over farmland and forest.

Situated in a quiet leafy lane outside Staplefield, a delightful small village 5 miles from Haywards Heath in the heart of the attractions of Mid Sussex which include some wonderful gardens such as Nymans, Wakehurst Place, Leonardslee, Borde Hill, High Beeches, Sheffield Park (also the location of the Bluebell Railway)

Two long distance footpaths pass in the immediate area, the High Weald Landscape Trail (150metres north) and the Ouse Valley Way (1 mile south). We welcome walkers and provide secure storage for bicycles.
We are also only minutes from the A/M 23 with Gatwick Airport 10 miles away. Brighton to the south is worth a visit with the Royal Pavilion home of the Prince Regent a must. |
Accommodation Oakfield Cottage is a fully centrally heated non smoking establishment. Each room has a flat screen television, tea and coffee making facilities with homemade shortbreads. Hairdryers and a radio alarm clock are provided. Ironing facilities and Wifi is also available. On site parking

Breakfast Our Sussex breakfast comprises, primarily, of delicious local produce, honey from our own bees and home made preserves and is normally served in a conservatory overlooking the mature garden which has specialist rhododendrons, camellias, azaleas, many trees and shrubs with woodlands beyond. There is abundant bird life; a large pond encourages other wild life. A beautiful way to start the day. |
Staplefield Village Is an oasis of calm with the village green at its centre. There are two hostelries the Victory and The Jolly Tanners both serving real ales and good food.
