Oakfield Cottage is our family home built in 1904 and extended to include 2 additional tastefully decorated en suite double bedrooms with views over farmland and forest.

Situated in a quiet leafy lane outside Staplefield. A delightful small village 5 miles from Haywards Heath. An oasis of calm, with the village green at its centre. There are 2 hostelries: the Victory and the Jolly Tanners both serving real ales and good food. An interesting church with unique wall paintings, recently restored is well worth a visit. Amidst the attractions of Mid Sussex are some wonderful gardens such as Nymans, Wakehurst Place, Standen, Borde Hill, High Beeches, Sheffield Park (also the location of the Bluebell Railway). All within a short drive.
Two long distance footpaths pass in the immediate area, the High Weald Landscape Trail (150metres north) and the Ouse Valley Way (1 mile south). We welcome walkers and cyclists and provide secure storage for bicycles and drying facilities.
We are also only minutes from the A23/M23 with Gatwick Airport 10 miles away. Brighton to the south is worth a visit with the Royal Pavilion home of the Prince Regent a must. A browse amongst the many antique shops in The Lanes at Brighton is a collector's paradise.
