Breakfast Menu Fruit juice, grapefruit or fresh fruit of the day Choice of cereals Hot porridge oats Yoghurt *** Free-range eggs (fried, scrambled, poached or boiled) Grilled lean back bacon Premium pork sausage or vegetarian sausage Grilled fresh tomato or tinned tomatoes Fried mushrooms Baked beans in tomato sauce or Scottish kippers with grilled tomato & fried mushrooms *** Brown, white or 'best of both' toast Home-made jams Home-made Seville orange marmalade *** Tea or coffee Decaffeinated tea and coffee, and fruit tea also available *** Continental breakfast available with choice of the above starters followed by croissants and fresh ground coffee Breakfast is usually served between 8 am and 9.30 am However, if you require an earlier or later breakfast, please ask. It may be possible. We served free range eggs from the local egg farm, Lean back bacon and premium pork sausages. For vegetarians we have Linda McCartney or Cauldron vegetarian sausages If a Continental Breakfast is preferred we can offer the usual Choice of fruit juice, fruit, yogurt and cereals plus Croissants, toast, home-made jam & marmalade with Fresh ground coffee |
 The tastefully decorated dining room has a solid oak dining room suite with very comfortable upholstered chairs. One twin bedded room and one double/family room both have a flat screen LCD digital TV with freeview DVD player and a radio, central heating and tea/coffee making facilities. Quality towels provided. Fan in each room during hot weather. There is a bathroom with bath/shower for the sole use of guests in the two bedrooms. Range of guest toiletries. Water softener fitted. Under the latest "common standards" grading, although the quality remains the same as during the last 25 years, we are now restricted to 2 star rating because we do not have en-suite rooms, and we choose not to have wash basins in the 2 guest bedrooms.  |
| We are situated on the northern outskirts of Winchester, off the B3420 (Andover Road North), close to beautiful countryside yet only one and a half miles from the city centre, which is convenient for the many attractions in the area. It takes about 25 to 30 minutes to walk into town, but there is also a frequent bus service for those without a car. Quite often, a lift into town is offered by one of the family whenever possible. |  |
