We can offer a family room with a large en-suite bathroom plus two further rooms with both a double and a single bed and private facilities. Each room has TV, tea and coffee making facilities and a hair dryer, bath robes and comfort we hope you will want to return to. ![]() We offer delicious home cooked farmhouse breakfast of your choice, using locally farmed produce. You can relax in our comfortable residents lounge where maps and books can be studied for planning the days events, or where you can simply enjoy the company of other guests, or take a stroll and enjoy the gardens and the tranquil atmosphere of this beautiful house. ![]() For those off-season breaks, the house has full central heating and with the addition of a log fire, guests will feel relaxed in the pleasant atmosphere around the house. ![]() We are very fortunate to have a wide variety of good places to eat within a few miles of the farmhouse ranging from country pubs to an excellent variety of restaurants. |
| Higher Came is part of the Historic Came Estate, which included the 12th Century church used by Thomas Hardy and local poet William Barnes. The estate extends south to the Ridgeway with spectacular views over Weymouth Bay and the Isle of Portland and the beautiful chalk downs of South Dorset. ![]() Located just 2 miles from the historic market town of Dorchester, known by the Romans as Durnovaria, which has an excellent museum, ancient monuments such as Maiden Castle and a variety of National Trust Houses to visit.
