For Steam Railway enthusiasts visit Sheringham's Poppy Line or the Bure Valley Railway from Aylsham to Wroxham Broads. Here you can also hire self-drive launches. Take a short ride along the coast to Mundesley with its renovated windmill and award winning Blue Flag beach. Drive on to Cromer, "The Gem of the Norfolk Coast", a traditional English resort with something for everyone. Take a stroll on the refurbished Pier and visit its famous End of Pier Show.

The distinctive market cross originally built in the 16th century is the focal point of North Walsham, just eight minutes drive from our cottage. Drop into Jenny Winstanley's pottery and see her unique cats being made. Perhaps treat yourself - fancy fish 'n' chips? The Three Cottages is a must. Delicious!

For those interested in more historical pursuits, there are the National Trust properties of Blickling and Felbrigg Hall, whilst for those who like gardens, there are, amongst others, the Old Vicarage Gardens in East Ruston or Fairhaven Gardens at South Walsham.

Norwich, a "Fine City", has a wonderful array of art galleries, two large shopping malls and shops selling antiques, books, crafts and gifts, as well as many comfortable tea rooms and restaurants. Visit Norwich Cathedral, the recently refurbished market place and, of course, Norwich Castle.
