How can I pay?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, JCB, Eurocard, Switch Card, Sterling Travellers Cheques and cash. All accounts are payable on arrival.

What is check-in time?
Your room is available from noon on your day of arrival - please advise us of your arrival time. Luggage storage is available if you arrive earlier.

What is check-out time?
To enable us to ready the room for the next guest, check-out time is 10:30am.

Can I store luggage on my day of departure?
Yes, when you check-out, you can leave your bags with us until later in the day.

How far ahead should I book?
In order to accomodate you in your room of choice, please let us know as early as possible. Booking ahead is always advisable.

How can I keep in touch with friends and family back home?
With direct dial telephones in every room, nothing has been easier. Day or night you can call family back home, or make use of our fax service.

What hours is reception open?
We are open from 7am until 11pm. Later arrivals are accepted by prior arrangement.

Can I come and go from the hotel at any time of day or night?
Upon checking in you will receive a key so you can enter the hotel late at night - so you can enjoy London's great nightlife!

Are hairdryers available?
Hairdryers, adaptors, irons and umbrellas are all available at reception. Electrical voltage is 220/240V, it is not possible to use 110V appliances in the hotel.

What should I see and do in London?

Do you have non-smoking rooms?
The hotel is entirely non-smoking. Smoking is not permitted in guest bedrooms or public areas.

Do you have a lift (elevator)?
The hotel comprises 3 Victorian townhouses circa 1850 and does not have a lift. If you require a room on the ground or first floors please book well in advance. If you would like some free exercise just request a room on the fourth floor.

Where is the nearest laundry?
Just 20 metres away around the corner from the hotel, there is a laundry offering full service washes or coin operated machines.

Are there any restaurants nearby?
Yes, many! There are dozens of local restaurants specialising in all nationalities of food from Italian to Malaysian and of course a few English pubs offering traditional fare. All these are just a couple of minutes walk from the Cardiff.

When is breakfast served?
The traditional English breakfast is served 7am to 9am Monday to Saturday and 7:30am to 9:30am on Sundays. Continental breakfast can be arranged for early departures.

What rating are you?
We are inspected annually by Visit Britain the British Tourist Authority. We have been awarded a 3 star rating for Guest Accommodation.

How to travel to the Cardiff Hotel from:

Heathrow Airport: The Heathrow Express Train speeds between Heathrow Airport and Paddington Station in 15 minutes, and then it's a 2 minute walk to the Cardiff! A taxi will take 45 minutes and cost approximately £40.

Gatwick Airport: The Gatwick Express Train arrives into Victoria Station, 10 minutes by underground or taxi to the Cardiff. A taxi will take 1 ½ hours and cost about £60.

Stansted Airport: The Skytrain from Stansted arrives into Liverpool Street Station. The Circle Line connects Liverpool Street directly to Paddington station.

Luton Airport: The Thameslink train service brings you into Kings Cross Station and then circle line to Paddington

London City Airport: A shuttle bus runs every 10 minutes connecting the airport to Canary Wharf for the jubilee line or Liverpool Street Station for the circle line.

Waterloo Station: Eurostar arrival point, for trains from Paris and Brussels. The Bakerloo underground line connects Waterloo station directly to Paddington Station.

Euston or Kings Cross Station: Take the circle line directly to Paddington, journey time 15 minutes

By Road: Easy access to westbound motorways - M40 to Oxford and beyond, or M4 to Bristol and Cardiff. Free street parking overnight in front of the hotel after 6:30pm Monday to Saturdays, until 8:30am. Parking is free all day Sundays.

NOTE : The Cardiff will be inside the congestion charging zone from 19 February 2007. The zone operates Monday to Friday 7am - 6:30pm.
