Middlesbrough, located in North Yorkshire, is a relatively large town that offers much for visitors to see and enjoy. There are two beautiful parks in town, Stewart Park and Albert Park. Albert Park is a classic Victorian park that is near the main shopping district. There is a bowling green, boating lake and tennis courts in Albert Park. Stewart Park offers a more rural atmosphere and featuring wooden bridges, walking paths and an open air zoo that should not be missed. There is even a grassy picnic area where you can sit and soak up the natural beauty.

The English town of Middlesbrough enjoys the neighborhood of United Kingdom's second largest port. Moreover it lies very close to the River Tees which makes it a good choice for those who are looking for salmon and trout fish in this area.

Picasso's fans can truly enjoy the town as it holds the second largest collection of the great painter in the Great Britain. The collection is the result of the art gallery project by the name of Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art. The art gallery as its name suggests only holds the contemporary master pieces of art. Most of the paintings displayed in the gallery are of 20th Century. Thousands of tourists have visited the place after its long awaited inauguration in early 2007.

The town has two chief recreational parks. The government has ensured to keep them well maintained so that locals and tourists can enjoy the mesmerizing environment. People have developed habits of visiting the parks in the morning and evening.

The town's night life is famous for its raw side of the life. The focal point of activities is The Empire, right in the centre of town. Local bands play native and exotic tunes with utmost attitude. The theaters and cinemas are popular in the neighboring towns as well. Students play an important role in the overall bands and most of them act as DJs in the local bars and restaurants. Tourists equally enjoy the nightlife along with the marvelous historic monuments in the day.
