The original message that was given by the IRA has been confusing and it led to the evacuation from the houses around the police station and they were moved to the local leisure centre which was actually not far from where the bomb did go off but luckily no-one was hurt during the explosion.

Bank Square was once the location for a lot of the different banks however the name was actually taken from the bank or slope that leads down to The Carrs that are recreational fields.
