London Town Guide |
Winchmore Hill District
N21
This remote district of London is right on the very outskirts of north London, bordering Edmonton.
Originally Winchmore Hill was just a rural hamlet several miles from the city. But then in the 1870s the railway reached the district and with it the population soon expanded.
Today the area is predominantly middle class and residential and so Winchmore Hill has a very suburban feel to it.
