Palmers Green District

N13

This district of north London is situated on the outskirts of London between Friern Barnet and Edmonton.

Before the railway reached the area in 1871 the district was rural and largely unpopulated. But like many parts of London once the railways had arrived development quickly followed and houses quickly sprung up all over the district.

Like its neighbouring Friern Barnet, Palmer's Green was a favoured residence for London's wealthier residents and so it too retains a respectable Edwardian feel, and avoids the run-down poverty of some north London districts.
