Theatres, London, 2K
This theatre dates from 1901 and is one of the last surviving variety theatres in London. It was designed by Frank Matcham who was influenced by the Italian Opera Houses, which is reflected in the ornate interior and excellent acoustics.

In its hey day this was one of the most popular theatres in London. All the great stars of the Music Hall era performed here, including Marie Lloyd, Charlie Chaplin and Stan Laurel.

It still stages the traditional pantomimes, variety performances and comedy shows, but increasingly has been used as a music venue.

The box office is open from noon-6pm Mondays to Saturdays. Ticket prices vary according to what is showing.
