    Liverpool Museum
    and William Brown Library

The Liverpool Museum, and the adjacent William Brown Library, are located on William Brown Street, to the north of the city and next to the Walker Art Gallery.

One of the best museums in the whole of the north of England, the museum first opened in 1860 - an example of the Victorian's enthusiasm for museums in which to display their new discoveries.

Today the museum continues its excellent reputation with a huge variety of topics covered, ranging from archaeology and natural history to modern science.
