The English seaside resort of Seaton is located within Devon on the southern coast of England. The town is located close to the Lyme Bay and the western side of the mount of the River Axe. There is a beach within the town that is about a mile in length and it there is also a small harbour area. The area of Seaton is located on ninety-five miles of the Jurassic coast which forms part of the East Devon and Devon Coastline and this is a world heritage coastline.
The area around the town has an abundance of wildlife. The surrounding agricultural landscape supports the areas of ancient woodland that still remains. The woodland areas also have an array of hedges, grassland and spingline mires.
There are otters present on the nearby River Axe and there are dormice present throughout the whole area. There are dormant caves at the nearby area of Beer and these caves are used as a hibernating area by an array of bats including the rare Bechsteins bat.
The town and the surrounding area are great for people that are interested in bird watching and wildlife. During 2007 there was an Audouin Gull spotted within the area and this bird is rarely seen within the United Kingdom.
There is a vast number o f attraction within the town of Seaton and the surrounding area and these include the Seaton tramway and the quite spots where you are able to sit and observe the wildlife.
