The large English village that is known as Pulborough is located within the district of Horsham within the area that is known as West Sussex. The village of Pulborough is also a civil parish. The village is located about fifty miles to the south of the city of London. The town of Pulborough is located at the junction with the A283, which runs from the east to the west of the town, and the A29 that runs from the north to the south of the town. The village of Pulborough is located at the confluence of the River Rother and the River Arun.
There are a number of attractions within the town and the surrounding area and these include a twelve-hour Lawn Mower race that is held on the 29th of July. In August on the bank holiday the society of duck racing hosts the annual duck race that is run as a charity event.
The village of Pulborough is also home to the light railway of the South Downs and this railway operates regular diesel trains and also regular stream engines during the summer months and during the colder months there is a limited service.
The village of Pulborough was in the media on the 17 July 2000 due to the murder of Sarah Payne as her body was found in the field close to the village. Sarah Payne has done missing form the nearby village of Kingston Gorse that is fifteen miles away.
