Fleetwood, located in Lancashire, was the first planned community to emerge in the Victorian era. During much of the 20th Century, the town served as a prosperous deep sea fishing port. Today, the town is also a popular seaside resort. The most notable feature in Fleetwood is The Mount, which is a seven acre park that faces the sea and includes an expansive pavilion. Fleetwood is also home to a variety of museums, retail shops and a waterfront outlet shopping village that has dozens of shops. There are ample accommodations as well as eating establishments in Fleetwood.

The English town of Fleetwood is located in the Wyre district of Lancashire. The town of Fleetwood is located on the Fylde Peninsula about eight miles to the north of Blackpool. The town is located on the banks of the River Wyre.

The climate of the town of Fleetwood is pretty much the same as other coastal areas of the United Kingdom and the town has a maritime climate. The town often has prevailing northwestern winds and the weather pattern that is commonly associated with the northwesterly winds. The town has a slightly higher temperature than some other places within the Untied Kingdom. It is very uncommon to get snow or frost within the town of Fleetwood due to its coastal location. The temperatures within the town are close that of the national average.

The town of Fleetwood has a population of about twenty six thousand eight hundred and forty. There was a slight decline in the popualtion between 1976 and 2001 whilst the total popualtion of the borough rose by about eleven per cent. The population of Fleetwood is mainly made up from white nationals and this equates to about ninty nine per cent and the rest is split between South Asian, Black and Mixed Race.

The economy of the town of Fleetwood still revolves mainly around tourism, fishing, port activities and also light industry. It would be fair to say that since the early part of the 1970's the economy within the town has struggled. The biggest employer within the town is Lofthouse who is the manufacturers of the Fishermans Friend which is the menthol lozenge popular all across the world.
