Evesham, located in Worcestershire, is a small, quaint town, but offers plenty for tourists to see and enjoy. The town of Evesham has a strong educational network and it is located within the district council area of Wychavon. The Evesham schools form a model that has three tiers. The first school teaches children that are aged between five and ten years of age, the middle school teaches children that are aged between ten and thirteen yeas of age. The third tier of the model is the secondary schools that teach children aged between eleven and eighteen years of age. The three tier model has been in action since 1974 and prior to that the primary school taught children aged between five and eleven years of age and a secondary school taught children that were age between eleven and eighteen years of age. During the period between 1974 and 1977 the models were making a transition between the two.
The town has eight primary schools and these include schools that are part of the Church of England and some are part of the Roman Catholic and there are also some schools that are non-denominational. The town features three middle schools and there are also two high schools within the town. There is a further educational establishment within the town and this is known as Evesham and Malvern Hills College. The college delivers courses that are mainly for students and the courses range from NVQ's to BTEC level courses. The college also offers vocational training courses including courses in sewing.
