The English village of Elstree is located in the borough known as Hertfordshire. The village is located on the A5, which is the northern road from London. The village is part of the civil parish, which is known as Borehamwood and Elstree. The village of Elstree is the urban area of Greater London. The nearest railway station is known as Elstree and Borehamwood. The area of Borehamwood is located to the west of the railway line and it was formally known as Deacons Hill.

The village of Elstree is probably most common for Elstree Film Studio as these used the name of the town. These film studios are one of the main locations within the Untied Kingdom where films are made. The very popular soap opera, which is known as Eastenders is set within the Elstree Studios. The studios have been the home for Big Brother since series three.

There is a county park close to the village of Elstree and it is known as Aldenham. The country park is used as both a recreational facility and also a centre for breeding rare livestock.

There is a strong network for education within the village of Elstree and this is made up of a primary school, a secondary school and there is also a college campus.

Over the years the village of Elstree has been visited by a number of famous people including the film star Anna Neagle and she lived in the area that was once known as Deacon Hill. The famous grumpy music judge who is known as Simon Cowell was raised within the village of Elstree.
