Dunfermline is situated in Fife, Scotland. Historically, the town served as the capital of Scotland and was also the birthplace of Andrew Carnegie, who was at one time considered to be the richest man in the world. There are many interesting sights to see in town, including Dunfermline Abbey, which is where Robert The Bruce is buried. The abbey was constructed in the 11th century. Today it is primarily ruins, although it does offer good views. Other sights include Pittencrieff Park, also known as The Glen, widely considered to be one of the most beautiful parks in the country.

Dunfermline is a popular location for shopping and it is also well known for its records amongst some of the highest football levels in Fife. The main shopping area within Dunfermline is a pedestrianised area and this area is also home to the shopping mall. The heart of Dunfermline is a conservation area housing a mix of historic architecture and buildings.
