Brecon, located in Powys, is a relatively small and typical Welsh town. The scenery around Brecon is quite beautiful and well worth the visit. One of the most popular attractions is Brecon Becons National Park. Another popular attraction is Brecon Cathedral, which was begun in 1094 by the brother of William the Conqueror. The River Walk is also a nice place to take a walk. Other activities to enjoy include the Brecon Jazz Festival as well as horse riding in the surrounding countryside. Visitors will find there are plenty of dining, shopping and entertainment options in Brecon and the immediate vicinity.
