This lively local history museum can be found on the Canongate stretch of the Royal Mile. |
The museum is housed in a restored 16th century building that once belonged to the Marquess of Huntly, hence the name. The house is now an excellent local history museum which contains all sorts of interesting local history exhibits including shop signs, past products made in the city and most famously, the collar that belonged to Greyfriars Bobby. Huntly House Museum is open daily except Sundays but hours vary according to day so check in advance. Entry is free. |
