The English market town of Beverley is located within the area that is known as the East Riding of Yorkshire. The market town of Beverley is also a civil parish. The town is located between the area of Westwood and the River Hull. The main feature within the town is the Beverley Minster and this building is architecturally significant within religion. The town of Beverley is about one thousand three hundred years old.

The town of Beverley was the administrative centre for the local government of the Borough of Beverley however it is now the administrative centre for the area of East Riding of Yorkshire. The town of Beverley is located about eight miles to the north west of Hull, ten miles to the east of Market Weighton and about twelve miles to the west of Hornsea.

The town of Beverley has a population of about twenty nine thousand one hundred and ten and of this population about seven thousand five hundred and forty nine people reside within the boundaries of the historic parish.

The town of Beverley is best known for its markets and racecourse however over recent years the town has became known for its various musical festivals. During 2007 a study that was carried out by the Royal Bank of Scotland revealed the town of Beverley as the best place to live within the United Kingdom.

The town of Beverley has a strong education network and the town is home to one of the oldest state schools in the whole of England the school is known as Beverley Grammar School. This grammar school has about eight hundred students and over the years it has received some very good reports from Ofsted.
