Edinburgh Town Guide, The Museum, 1K The museum was founded in 1955 by local councillor Patrick Murray. Interestingly enough he always claimed to not like children and is supposed to have emphasised the fact that the museum was about children, not for them!

The Museum of Childhood is open daily except for Sundays, but opening times vary according to day so check in advance. Entry is free.
