Edinburgh Town Guide |
This quirky museum, full to the brim with teddy bears, toy soldiers and dolls, is popular with children and adults alike so expect to queue. |
The museum was founded in 1955 by local councillor Patrick Murray. Interestingly enough he always claimed to not like children and is supposed to have emphasised the fact that the museum was about children, not for them! The Museum of Childhood is open daily except for Sundays, but opening times vary according to day so check in advance. Entry is free. |
