Welcome to Millhouse B & B - an 18th Century former bakery which is situated in the pretty village of Brede with stunning views over the Brede Valley.
With its Sussex weather boarding this Mill House has a wealth of beams, inglenook fire places and old world charm.
You will receive a warm and friendly welcome from the owners, Michael and Josie Taylor.
The period house has been lovingly restored and the rooms are furnished to a high standard. Every effort has been made to add all the extras which will ensure your comfort.
Situated between Battle and Rye, it makes an ideal base for walkers or cyclists wishing to explore 1066 Country, visit the historic towns or you can simply relax in our large traditional English garden.
Two double rooms furnished to a high standard to ensure your comfort
The Mill House in Brede, has two double bedrooms one with king size double bed the other twin bedded.
They are beautifully furnished to a high standard with ensuite shower rooms, wc and wash basin, flat screen TV's with Freeview TV, Wi-fi, hospitality trays, hair dryers and clock radios, magazines and quality toiletries.
There is a guest sitting room with a wood burning stove for those chilly winter's days.
You will be welcomed with a tray of tea/coffee and home made cakes which you can enjoy by the fire in the winter or on a small terrarce area in the summer.
Weather permitting enjoy sitting in the garden on steamer chairs after a busy day site seeing.

An ideal location for walkers, cyclists or those wanting a restful break close to the historic towns of Rye and Battle.
The Mill House is situated between Rye and Battle both of which are a 15min drive. Tenterden with its Steam Railway, antique shops and many restaurants are a short drive approximately 25mins. The stunning gardens of Great Dixter, Pashley Manor and Sissinghurst are all within a short drive so are Bodiam Castle, Battle Abbey and Scotney Castle.
Eat out at the Local Pub
The Red Lion pub nearby offers local beers and good food. It has a relaxed feel, candles on tables, excellent choice of food, and offers good value. The menu includes local fish dishes and little touches like olives and bread to start and homemade shortbread with coffee.
Walk through the Brede Valley
The Brede Valley is a stretch of beautiful Sussex countryside near Rye, where the Romney and Walland marshland extends westwards past Winchelsea between two steep ridges of the rolling High Weald.
Visit the Medieval town of Rye
Rye is a picturesque medieval hilltop town with a wealth of restaurants, old pubs and historic buildings. Enjoy the many festivals such as the Rye Arts Festival, Taste of Rye offering seasonal food and and the Scallop Festival serving Rye Bay's famous Scallops. You can walk around the cobbled streets, explore the many independent shops and art galleries and then treat yourself to a traditional English cream tea.
