Halesworth, located in Suffolk, is a traditional market town that is situated on the River Blyth. At one time, Halesworth was a Roman settlement and is home today to a medieval church as well as numerous Victorian era buildings. While in the area, history buffs will most certainly want to take the Town Trail walk in order to learn more about the history of the town. The main shopping street is known as The Thoroughfare and is pedestrianized. Each year the street hosts a fair, the Throughoughfair. Halesworth is also home to an arts center. The small English market town of Halesworth is located within the county of Suffolk. The town of Halesworth has a population of about six thousand. The town is located within the eastern corner of Suffolk. The town of Halesworth is located about fifteen miles to the south west of Lowestoft and about nine miles north of Southwold.
