West Malling is an English market town located in Kent in the district of Tonbridge and Malling. The town of West Malling has a vast range of historic buildings and these include the prior house, which was historically the residence for the leper colony. A group of Anglican Benedictine nuns currently live within the community of West Malling. The abbey that is located within the town of West Malling actually consists of some modern building as well but a lot of them are very old buildings. Bishop Gundolf built St Leonard's Tower and this tower is featured on the station crest of the Royal Air Force station in West Malling. Some of the other old buildings within the town include the Ford House that is located on the High Street and this building is about six hundred years old. The Swan Bar was historically a coaching inn and it dates back to the eighteenth century.

During 1967 the Magical mystery tour that was done by the Beatles was filmed in the town of West Malling and it includes the airfield and also the high street.

The town of West Malling is a mixture of commercial development and residential areas. The report that is known as the wealth of the nations and was conducted in 2004 revealed that the area of Kings Hill is located within the town has the highest average household income and the highest amount of the households earning more than one hundred thousand a year in the United Kingdom.
