
The English area of West Drayton is located within the western part of London and this is located within the borough that is known as Hillingdon. The railway that is known as Great Western and also the canal that is known as Grand Union splits the area. Both the canal and the railway run toward from the east of the area to the west of the area. The area is divided on the northern end by the area that is known as Yiewsley divides it on the northern end.
During years gone by most of the employment within the area was connected to both the canal and the railway and even nowadays some people are still employed within these sectors. The town of West Drayton is now becoming much more of a commuter town and this is due to its closeness with the M4, M25, M3 and also the M40. The town is also very close to Heathrow airport. The town is located close to northbound junction 4 on the M4, which is the connecting road to the airport.
The railway station that is located within the town of West Drayton allows links to the first great western services that run to Bristol and Reading from Paddington in London. There is one primary school within the town and there is also a secondary school. The secondary school is known as Stockley Academy however the school was once known as Evelyn's Community School, and then originally school was knocked down.
There is a green area within the town of West Drayton and this area features a number of listed buildings that are a combination of business premises and residential premises.
