City Art Gallery | |
| York's City Art Gallery is situated just outside the City Walls in Exhibition Square, near Bootham Bar. The Gallery is home to an internationally renowned collection of European paintings, and it also has a superb display of stained glass. In addition, as well as its permanent exhibits, the Museum also hosts several contemporary art shows each year, which normally receive excellent reviews. The Gallery is open daily from 9.30am to 4.30pm. Entry is free. |
