Trinity College
Dating back to 1286, Trinity College is one of the oldest colleges in Oxford University.
It was first founded by a group of monks from Durham Abbey, and it was these religious connections that resulted in the College being abolished under the Dissolution of the Monasteries in the 16th century. However, only a few years later, in 1555, it was re-founded by Sir Thomas Pope.
Trinity College is perhaps best known for its lovely grounds, although the baroque chapel is well worth seeing. Trinity College is open daily from 2pm to 5pm.
