Ealing District

W5, W13
Nearest Tube: Ealing Broadway

The west London district of Ealing is situated to the west of The City, just further away from central London than the district of Acton. The name is derived from Saxon times and means the 'territory of the people of Gilla'.

By the 18th century Ealing was a favourite residential area for London's wealthy as it was both rural, and close to The City. And to this day it is still a predominantly residential area.

The main tourist attraction in Ealing is Pitshanger Manor.
