Tenby, located in Pembrokeshire, is a traditional walled town in South Wales. It is considered to be a premier tourist spot in the local area, situated about 80 kilometers to the west of Swansea. The town itself dates back to the Norman Conquest, with the walls dating back to 1093. One of the most appealing elements of the town is that it has largely been able to foil commercialization efforts. Today it remains unspoiled and picturesque. Cars are even banned from the centre of town during the summer months, which greatly aides in the appeal of Tenby as a relaxing getaway location.
