The village of Seahouses is classed as the honey pot of the region as it attracts a vast number of visitors not only from the United Kingdom but also from other parts of the world. There are a vast number of International tourists that come to the village whilst also visiting other attractions within the local area. There is a wealth of attraction in the surrounding area and these include the national park of Northumberland, the coastal line of the area and also Farne Islands.
The village of Seahouses has a local fishing port that still operates today and this also serves the tourist trade that comes into the area. There is an array of shops within the village and there are also a number of booths along the harbour. There are a number of boat companies that operate from the harbour within Seahouses. The bother of Grace Darling is buried within the cemetery at North Sunderland and he died in 1903 at the age of eighty-four. The current lifeboat within Seahouses is named Grace Darling.
