The Scottish town of Portree is located on the Isle of Skye that is located in the Highlands of Scotland. The town of Portree is the biggest town on Skye. The Isle of Skye is part of the Inner Hebrides. There is four different ways that people are able to access the town of Portree and these are by going over the Skye Bridge, by taking the ferry from Mallaig on the mainland to the ferry port of Armadale. There is only one secondary school on the Isle of Skye and it is located within the town of Portree. The secondary school is known as Portree High School. There is a limited amount of public transport on the Island and this includes bus services.
The town of Portree has a harbour that is surrounded by cliffs and there is also a pier that was designed by the late Thomas Telford. There are a vast number of attractions within the town of Portree and these include the Aros Centre, which is designed to celebrate the Celtic heritage.
