There are a vast number of attractions within the town of Portree and these include the Aros Centre, which is designed to celebrate the Celtic heritage. The town also serves as a great base for people that want to explore the rest of the island.
The last meeting place for Bonnie Prince Charlie and Flora MacDonald is located within Portree. At the time of the meeting in 1746 the meeting place was known as MacNab's Inn but it is know more commonly known as Royal Hotel.
