Market Rasen is an English town that is located within the district of Lincolnshire and within the area that is known as West Lindsey. The town of Market Rasen is a civil parish and it is located on the banks of the River Base. There was an earthquake within the town on the 27th February 2008 and it was felt about four kilometres from the town centre and it measured 5.2 on the scale. A lot of different parts of the United Kingdom from Plymouth to Edinburgh also felt this earthquake and in fact it was felt as far away as the area of Bangor in Northern Ireland.
