The English town of Maldon is located within the area of Essex. The town of Maldon is located on the Blackwater Estuary. The town of Maldon is the main town within the district of Maldon and the town is also the starting place for the navigation of Blackwater and Chelmer. The town of Maldon is twinned with the Dutch town that is known as Cuijk and the two towns merged back in 1970. The town of Maldon first got a railway link back in 1846 when the branch line to Witham was opened.
