Lynmouth is a pretty village located in Devon. Lynmouth is located on the northern edge of Exmoor. The village is located at the point where the rivers of East Lyn and West Lyn meet. The village of Lynmouth is located within a gorge that is about seven hundred below Lynton. The cliff railway that runs between Lynmouth and Lynton connects both the areas. The villages are both governed within local level by the town council of Lynton and Lynmouth.

Thomas Gainsborough and his wife Margaret Burr had their honeymoon in the village of Lynmouth and this is also when Thomas Gainsborough felt that it was a very delightful place for a landscape painter.

The combined area of Lynton and Lynmouth are twinned with the area of Benouville, which is an area of France.

The village of Lynmouth has some fabulous bed and breakfast establishments and this area is the ideal location for people that are looking for a tranquil holiday, as it is peaceful with a vast amount of spectacular scenery. This area is also a very good area for walkers that want to explore Exmoor, the south west coastal path and also the valley of the rocks.

There are a vast number of attractions within the combined area of Lynton and Lynmouth. The attractions within these areas include Exmoor Falconry, Exmoor Safari, Lundy Island and Exmoor Zoo so there are attractions to suit all ages and tastes.
