Lyndhurst Hotels

:  Lyndhurst is situated in Hampshire in the New Forest. The town is sometimes referred to as the Capital of the New Forest. The area has become popular with tourists and features numerous hotels, pubs, cafes and shops. Visitors may also wish to stop by the New Forest Museum. The town of Lyndhurst is also known for being the home of Alice Liddell, sometimes referred to as Alice Hargreaves, who was the inspiration for Alice in Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. The village of Lyndhurst is located within the area of Hampshire and it is the biggest village within the area of New Forest. This village is often referred to as the capital of the area known as New forest. This town is a very popular tourist area and there are a vast number of pubs, cafes, shops and hotels. The town Lyndhurst is home to the museum for the New Forest area. The closest city is Southampton and this town is located about nine miles north east of Lyndhurst. The town of Lyndhurst has a population of about two thousand nine hundred and seventy three.

Alice Liddell who is commonly referred to as Alice Hargreaves once lived in the town. Alice Liddell is the person that inspirited the character of Alice in the very popular story of Alice's Adventure in Wonderland that was written by Lewis Carroll. Alice Liddell is buried within the graveyard of the church of St Michael and Angels that is located in the village.

The church within the village is a popular landmark that is built from a vast number of different colours. The church is located at one of the highest areas of Lyndhurst. The church was built during the 1860's and it contains an spectacular fresco that was completed by Lord Leighton and the stained glass was done by William Morris, Edward Burne-Jones and Charles Kempe to name a few.

The village is home to the administrative centre for New Forest and the local district council is based in the village. The forestry commission is based within the village at the Queens House.
