Woodley Field is a magnificent, elegantly furnished ETB 4 Star rated Bed and Breakfast, situated in the beautiful Northumbrian market town of Hexham, in the very heart of Hadrian's Wall Country. The house has large, mature gardens, which may be used by guests, and is decorated throughout in a style that perfectly complements its grand proportions. From the oak panelling of the entrance hall and dining room, to the tastefully contrasting decor of the two bedrooms, each with its own unique character, Woodley Field is a very popular location for the discerning guest - and one we're sure you'll want to come back to again and again. Woodley Field's two large individually designed family rooms are beautifully decorated in keeping with this superb house, with magnificent views of gardens, which are set back from the quiet road that winds into Hexham and the nearby villages. White cotton bed linen, feather duvets and fluffy white towels are standard. Breakfasts are made from fresh local produce, and served in an oak panelled dining-room with views of the gardens. Facilities With its two spacious en-suite family rooms, Woodley Field is perfect for those wanting a leisure or business break in superbly comfortable, quiet surroundings. The accommodation is ETB 4 Star rated, and each room is equipped with hairdryers, white cotton bedding, fluffy white towels, feather duvets, TV and tea and coffee making facilities. The rooms are either double or twin, and have bay windows overlooking the grounds, and the village of Hexham beyond, which is situated only a short distance away. Both rooms have period fireplaces. There is secure storage for cycles, safe off-road parking for cars and good drying facilities. We will even provide packed lunches for guests by arrangement - everything you need for the perfect stay. The rooms are either double or twin, and have bay windows overlooking the grounds, and the town of Hexham beyond, which is situated only a short distance away. Both rooms have period fireplaces. The oak-panelled dining room is where you can choose a choice of Continental or full traditional English Breakfast made from locally produced eggs freshly laid at a local farm, bacon and sausage from local family butchers in Hexham village, served with fresh fruit juice, tea or coffee. For lunch or an evening meal, Hexham and the surrounding area have enough superb restaurants and pubs to really spoil you for choice. | Location Northumberland is an area rich in heritage, wildlife and activity, yet still a place where you can come and get away from the noise and bustle to relax and soak in some of the UK's most stunning scenery. Walking the Wall: Arrangements can be made for luggage forwarding if planning to Walk the Wall. There is a Wall Bus in Hexham and times are available from Tynedale Tourist Board. Also in Tynedale is the very popular Art Tour which offers visitor exhibitions, visits to studios and workshops of local artists. In the surrounding area we have , the North's unspoilt beaches, Riding and Fishing all within a short distance, and can be pre-arranged. In Hexham, there are facilities for swimming, a cinema and soft play, as well as superb shopping facilities from the many individual shops, while only half an hours drive away is the city of Newcastle, and Gateshead's Metro Centre.
