| Accommodation In recent years, Woodlands has been completely refurbished to ensure that our guests enjoy Bed and Breakfast accommodation of the highest standard. Traditionally and thoughtfully furnished to provide our guests with a genuine 'home from home', our guest rooms are named after Scottish West Coast Islands to reflect the peace and tranquility that Woodlands affords its guests. With the exception of SKYE, all of our bedrooms overlook Woodlands' large and attractive rear garden and the River Coiltie beyond. Each has a built-in cupboard and is equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryer, colour television, DVD Player and clock radio alarm.
Rum and Mull together provide an extra option which is popular with our guests. In addition to being lovely double rooms in their own right, they are also the only rooms that are located off a first floor corridor separated by a fire door from the rest of the house. This feature creates a self-contained and private area - an ideal situation for 2 couples who wish to holiday together. Descending the 'open plan' staircase to the ground floor guest rooms:
Clearly, our rooms offer much more than just a bed for the night. In particular, our 2 most spacious rooms SKYE and IONA, with their sofa's and additional facilities described above, each provide a perfect 'base' in which to relax and enjoy an extended stay at WOODLANDS. |

| Dining Room Patio doors lead to raised decking where guests are welcome to sit and relax or even dine - weather permitting. With two large windows to the side, this is a bright and airy room from which to enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding hills whilst savouring a hearty Woodlands breakfast. Our carefully planned choice of dining tables allow guests to choose to be seated in relative privacy at a 'table for two', or in larger groups, space permitting. ![]() Entrance Hall Woodlands' entrance hall provides an interesting resting place for guests who wish to relax in an easy chair and browse the comprehensive selection of sightseeing and tourist attraction leaflets and brochures. There are also wall mounted maps of the surrounding area to help guests plan walks and excursions. |

| Facilities Drying Facilities 'There is a general misconception that the whole of Scotland experiences high rainfall' 'The frequency of thunderstorms in Scotland, around three to nine days per year, is relatively low compared with an average of nine to 15 days over England' These quotes are taken directly from the Meteorological Office web site. If they're accurate, why a drying room? In pursuit of their interests, fishermen, golfers, walkers and monster hunters sometimes get wet. If necessary, we will gladly take care of soggy belongings and when dry, they will be returned to your room. Incidentally, if you are unlucky enough to get wet whilst shopping, we'll take care of your 'soggies' too! Storage After a day on the golf course, at the waters edge or exploring this beautiful part of Scotland, there may be some belongings that we and our guests would prefer not to be housed in our guest accommodation. At the owners own risk and space permitting, we are happy to provide storage in our large garage and storerooms, free of charge, for all reasonably sized items of sporting and recreational equipment. ![]() |
