Welcome to Ashford House

A 1930's detached family house that has recently been stylishly refurbished to a high standard with oak and period features throughout. Ashford House is only a short walk from the picturesque Cathedral City of Wells and is able to boast superb views of the Mendip hills and off street private parking at the front of the house.

Jayne and Frank who own and run Ashford House have had many years experience in Bed and Breakfast and have been awarded 4 Stars and a coveted Silver Award for Guest Accommodation. You will receive a warm welcome, a good night's sleep in crisp, white cotton sheets and most important of all a hearty breakfast. We always try to make our guests stay pleasant and as relaxed as possible.

We welcome cyclists and walkers and offer secure lock up facilities for bicycles and outdoor equipment.

Ashford House has 3 bedrooms a double, a twin and a family room, all equipped with new, luxury en-suite bathrooms. Each bedroom includes a digital flat screen TV, radio, hair dryer and tea and coffee making facilities together with delicious biscuits.

Crisp white cotton bedding and quality towels ensure that your stay is a very comfortable one.

Our Twin bedroom is spacious and comfortable and includes an en-suite bathroom with a large power shower.
This room can also be adapted to create a Super King Size bedded room upon request for those who prefer added luxury.

The double room has a warm and comfortable atmosphere which boasts views of the Mendip Hills, and included an en-suite bathroom with power shower.

Our family bedroom consists of a double and a single bed; however there is also ample room for a fourth person on a comfortable 'Z bed'. This room also boasts beautiful views of the Mendip Hills.This room also has a spacious en-suite bathroom with a large power shower.

Breakfasts are served between 7 and 9 o'clock weekdays and 7:30 to 9:00 weekends, other times as requested, in our dining room overlooking the garden.Ashford House Breakfasts have gained a well deserved reputation for quality and variety.

A choice of continental, Aga cooked full English breakfast or fish alternative is available as well as a buffet choice of cereals, fresh melon, strawberries, various fruits and yoghurts, croissants and locally baked white and wholemeal, bread/toast. Porridge is also available.
Homemade jam and marmalade plus local honey and preserves are also provided.

Full English breakfast consists of: bacon, sausage, egg (fried, scrambled, poached), hash brown, tomatoes, mushrooms and fried bread. Vegetarian options are also available.

Various teas served (including Traditional English tea), fresh filter coffee (including decaffeinated tea and coffee) and a choice of fruit juices are provided.

Our luxury leather lounge offers added comfort and relaxation to your stay at Ashford House. After a long day sight seeing, unwind by the natural flame fire as an alternative to your bedrooms. The guest lounge closes 10.30pm.
